I have family members who have taken the test without studying and they had no problem with the test. If you only knew my family members LOL.

The point I was trying to make is people who are not american citizens should not be able to recieve these benefits. Right now they know if they come to this country they will not have to work a day in there life and will live way better than the average person.

If you're content with being poor, running massive financial deficits, increasing non-discressionary spending by 5 fold, then sure vote republican. The republican party is NOT the party of fiscal conservatism. Mark Warner and Tim Kaine have done a tremendous job battling a hostile state legislature to balance the budget and force VA's government to be responsible with tax dollars.

Prior to Mark Warner, Republican governors Gilmore and Allen lost the state's AAA bond rating, accumulated massive budget deficits, and continually subtracted money away from the public education budget and other state supported programs. VA's economy was in a state of termoil and uncertainty until Warner was able to employ his no-nonsense, businesslike approach. Governor Warner and Lt. Governor Kaine have proven responsible and reliable for four years. Why change now?

I also take exception to the criticism of our congressman. Mr. Boucher has done a tremendous job with "showcasing" southwest virginia. We could not ask for a harder working legislator in DC. Boucher has done an excellent job in securing funding to improve swva's infrustructure.
- The new four lane highway through lee and wise counties would not have been possible without his work.
- Lee County's new airport was also built with federal funding.
- The Big Cherry Reservoir expansion was also completed with federal funding.
- Congressman Boucher is a strong proponent of the head start program, development of swva's healthcare infrustructure, and many other federal programs that assist us on a daily basis.
- Frankly you need to redirect your criticism, because this man is an exceptional leader and an ardent supporter of the common man.
- I know, firsthand, that Congressman Boucher has done more to lift Southwest Virginians out of poverty than any other man alive. He has EARNED our respect and admiration.

Boucher has done a good job, and Warner has also done an excellent job, but I don't think Kaine is the man for this job. I'm not a fan of liberals. I consider them partially responsable for the downfall of America. Not on economical but morals.

Let me tell you something about liberals. Liberals gave slaves their freedom in the mid 1800's. Liberals gave women the right to vote. Liberals gave african americans the right to vote. Liberals passed a constitutional amendment prohibiting discrimination in public places. Liberals passed legislation to build such public works projects as the Tennessee Valley Authority to provide jobs for americans. Liberals passed the clean air and water acts. CONSERVATIVES SHAMELESSLY REJECTED ALL THESE MEASURES! So when you throw the accusation at my feet of being a "dirty liberal" I will pick it up and wear it as a badge of honor, because I know that a progressive ideology has changed the course of history for the better in more ways than one.

You provide no basis for argument, because you highlight no specific examples. Let's consider, however, your rhetoric about "moral" behavior for a moment. The definition of "moral behavior" is very subjective and cannot be considered as a matter of universal convention. Conservative Americans typically respond to simplicity. They see a moral argument as black and white, or, put another way, as inherently right or wrong. One ought never reject the notion that there is a grey area that often emerges when morality enters the political frey. Moral arguments are often not black and white, and conservative fundamentalists often do not recognize this fact. It is a maddening dogmatism that influences their rhetoric. Often this dogmatism and sheer arrogance is reinforced by the church, because God must be a Republican. Liberals however are not responsible for the downfall of america. As afore mentioned America needs its liberals just as much as it needs conservatives. Parody in the political system checks a dangerous power just as well as any political mechanism in the constitution. It is not a struggle between good and evil. It is a sustained dialogue between what we each percieve to be good policies and bad policies. Additionally I think it is a bit of a stretch to say that America has fallen. We have some big decisions to make, but the ship isnt sinking yet.
